UC Campuses Host Inaugural Systemwide Anchor Institution Mission Summit

For the first time, leaders from UC Campuses, the UC Office of the President, and community collaborators from across the state convened to learn more about anchor strategies at UC campuses and discuss how to align toward a strategy that further strengthens the UC system’s ability to promote economic equity and address social drivers of health through hiring, purchasing, and community investment.

With over 300 registrants, attendees of this virtual event were welcomed with remarks by Racheal Nava, University of California’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Dave Zuckerman, President and Founder of the Healthcare Anchor Network, provided the opening keynote and Dr. Talmadge King, Dean of the UCSF School of Medicine and Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs, delivered closing remarks.
